Nominations are now open and will be open until Saturday, April 4th, 2015, at 11:59pm. You must be nominated for each position you plan to run for at least once, in order to apply for that position.

An email will be sent out on Sunday, April 5th, 2015, announcing the people who were nominated on SignUpGenius who are eligible to run for those positions and reminding them to complete their application packets if they choose to go through with their nomination. Only the application packets of the people on this list will be accepted and their applications will only be accepted for the positions they were nominated for on SignUpGenius. The questionnaires, which are a part of the application packet, will also be sent out with that email, as well as be made available of the SGA website that day.

Application packets must be submitted by Wednesday, April 8th, 2015, at 9:00pm by email to sga.fauhighschool@gmail.com . You will receive an email reply saying that we have received the packet by midnight. If you do not receive an email, I would suggest resending it to the SGA email and if we still have not replied by noon on the 9th, stop by Mrs. Adam’s room and drop off a printed copy. Please do not repeatedly send the same email and do not send applications to our personal emails unless you have spoken to one of the Executive Board members directly.

The Executive Board will approve or deny these applications and an email will be sent out on Friday, April 10th, 2015, with all approved candidates for the Executive and Legislative Board positions.

The candidates for the Legislative Board (Representative) positions will then have until Sunday, April 12th, 2015, at 11:59pm, to send their written “speeches” to the SGA email.

Emails will be sent to individual grades with directions on how to vote for the representatives for their grade, including each representative’s “speech” on Monday, April 13th, 2015.

Voting for Legislative Board positions will be open to the entire student body from Monday, April 13th, 2015, to Thursday, April 16th, 2015, at 11:59pm. Each grade will only be allowed to vote for their own representatives.

The representatives will be announced at the Honorary SGA meeting on Friday, April 17th, 2015.

Voting for Executive Board positions will also be during the Honorary SGA meeting on Friday, April 17th, 2015, by ballot. All active SGA members of the 2014-2015 will be allowed to vote for Executive Board members, regardless of position, experience or grade. Details about Executive Board voting will be sent out in an email to SGA members as we get closer to the date. The votes will be tallied up and next year’s Executive Board will also be announced at the meeting.

An email will also be sent out to the entire student body to announce who will be on next year’s Legislative and Executive Boards on the 17th.

Being a member of Student Government does require hard work and effort. Please do not attempt to hold office if you are not willing to put in the time and work. For those of you who wish to be involved in SGA but do not want to hold office, or do not get voted into office, you can always be involved in Student Government as an Honorary member.

Thank you and we look forward to you being a part of SGA next year!
